KGA's new premises

KGA has grown steadily over the last few years and outgrew its home at Omega Street, so it was time to make a new home at 7A William Pickering Drive, Albany.

KGA moved into the Omega Street offices in September 2006 when there was a team of four. At the time, thought was given to subletting the office, but this never occurred. KGA rode through the 2008 financial crisis and, as the world recovered, so did the Auckland construction market. The team at KGA has steadily grown and the Omega Street office had become too small.

Finding new premises that met our needs was not an easy task and it took many months before an ideal location came up at 7A William Pickering Drive. The building was to be fully gutted to the structural elements only, giving KGA a clean slate to create an office which provided us with space and functionality, as well as being able to utilise current technology.

The big day was Friday 16 September 2016. The team packed away their work stations and the office materials into a tower of boxes, ready for pick up by Crown Relocations. The process was relatively pain free and completed by late afternoon where we had the opportunity to view the office before our gear was brought in.

While most of the team was able to enjoy the weekend, the directors, admin team and IT specialist worked hard to make sure the transition was as seamless as possible. And it was. By about midday on Monday, everyone was up and running once more and enjoying the space that we had been dreaming of for so long.
